Tom Shields is an Olympic butterfly specialist from Huntington Beach, California. He swam at University of California, Berkeley, and is remembered as one of the most decorated collegiate swimmers of all time. Tom’s college career landed him on the Pac 12 All Century Team. Shortly after his college eligibility expired he went professional.
He currently holds 5 American records, and has 11 world championship medals. Tom qualified for the Olympics in 3 events. This summer at the 2016 Olympic Games Tom earned a gold medal on the 4×100 medley relay in Rio.
Tom also holds the world record in the Huntington Beach Pier swim.
